In a shocking turn of events that nobody could have foreseen, least of all me, I have obtained more books. The day after my first posts, one of my long-awaited library holds came in. And I got news that my local bookstore was having its annual members' sale for 20% off, and if you spent more than $50, you got a year of membership for free...so really, I had no choice but to buy books.

New books that have entered my house:
How to Find a Princess, by Alyssa Cole (the library book)
Native, by Kaitlin Curtice
Dear Senthuran: A Black Spirit Memoir, by Akwaeke Emezi
¡Hola Papi!, by John Paul Brammer
Black Water Sister, by Zen Cho

Only one fantasy and three nonfiction, which is unusual for me. Alyssa Cole's book is certainly going to jump the queue of the books in my house--and not just because it's the one library book. She's an author I automatically read, one of my favorite romance novelists.

So let's start keeping score, shall we? Since the start of the blog...yes, two days ago, but we must start somewhere...
Number of books read: 1
Net change in unread books in my house: +4
